At The bridge SEN school  Speech and Language Therapy is provided by Evelina London.

Our therapists work with schools to support the development of student’s Speech, Language and Communication (SLC) skills, in areas like: attention and listening / understanding / talking / social interaction.

Speech, language and communication development is important in supporting pupil’s learning and their ability to build relationships.  Any difficulties can have an impact on the pupil’s self-esteem.

We support schools and colleges through a range of different activities including: training, advice, classroom observations, setting up groups, creating a communication friendly environment to support language & learning, and much more.

We welcome the involvement of parents and carers, if you would like to chat to your speech and language therapist about any concerns you have regarding your child’s language skills or find out about strategies to support them at home. Your SENCO can arrange a meeting with us; in school, via video appointment, or telephone. We also run a Virtual drop-in, ask the SENCo for a copy of the flyer for dates & more details.
